Kind of like the crazy old lady that has too many cats, is how I got to get the title of The Crazy Old Bird Lady. It seemed as my parrots kept only multiply. Mother of a friend died and left behind of a parrot quaker Parrot conure thumbnail. They squawked she relentlessly and friend only wanted them out of his house. Decided to take birds. Became part of our family and admired from afar because they were not too friendly. I have found that birds are very similar to the people. Don't like change and resent greatly. Some even boot up all their feathers if stress is simply too much for them. Over time, I developed a sort of Cortés relationship with them. They would pose in my finger when I put my hand in the cage, but was forbidden for them pets or touch them in any other way. Keep your distance, please!
There had never been any birds except for the occasional Zoo visit. These two in my house was definitely a unique experience for me. New pet shop was opened in our town, that show a cockatoo umbrella and I fell in love with this little inquisitive boy. He brought home and created in my living room front of the fireplace (was summer by what was not being used by the fireplace). Then he masticados halfway into my fireplace mantle. I can not show did, mind you, but your perch was the right one in front of the mantle and was not chopped never until he came to live with us. In spite of the Calvary, he has won my heart. A friend invited me to attend an auction of exotic birds. Held in a barn livestock auction and people had their auction numbers flying right and left to bid on these Psitticines.They were certainly not being driven by means of a series of gates and gutters as ganado.En instead there was a folding table set in the middle of the arena of the auction and were brought in their cages and sample to bidders. Very strange.
The auctioneer gave a brief description of the Parrot, established the opening bid amount and began the auction. (Posted owner card information attached to the cage.) To my surprise it was hooked. You could not already expected to attend the next auction. After view during most of the day, I decided to bid on a baby bird. Had absolutely no idea of how to care for one but me I was forced to deal with. Bid on one of the baby blue and Gold Macaw and livestock poultry.What? I was mad? My children were grown, doing their own thing and I finally had a bit of freedom. Why on earth I would I same ATE towards down once more and be a mother bird? However, it was my destination.
The owner of the Macaw met me and gave me all the details about how to care for the baby bird. I had to stop by the pet shop and pick up a cage, food special child bird, book, etc. It was all very frustrating mind. The people at the pet store were enough useful... to help me pass every cent in supplies of birds!
I got home, set up the cage and bonded with my bird. She was a baby so ugly. She did not have many feathers and type timeout as integer naked chicken you buy at the supermarket. All she wanted to do was eating poop and sleep.Do you know? type of as human babies.
When their feathers began to and eventually took a perch, she was beautiful. Another auction I attended and brought home a military guacamayo naked baby here. Nourishes him that it was like the blue and gold. Does not seem very time consuming and urgent this time. I guess it was because I knew what to expect and was not quite the edge.
So now I have a quaker Parrot, Parrot conure thumbnail, a cockatoo Macaw, blue and Golden umbrella and a green all guacamayo military appears in my room when visited guests was impossible to speak. Birds wanted to talk too and we barely we could hear our own discussions. We knew that we had to find a way to have our birds and recover our back home.By what we buy a store of casts and had emptied the garage for two coches.Nos took off to garage doors and enclose to another room. We have air condition/heating ventilation nullified to this area. Viola! Controlled atmosphere.
We have created a few cages, a gazebo wrought iron and branches of trees with cable here and there.The birds were free to wander around in this area and perch where pleased.We have installed a TV on a wall mounting.See Sesame Street during the day.
All this happened six years ago.By word of mouth, people know now that I'm Bird Crazy Lady.I have received seven birds from people asking me to take their animals for various reasons.So far I have a cockatoo umbrella, two of muloccan cockatoos, three blue macaws and gold, a guacamayo military, a blue front amazon, a front amazon yellow, one eclectus, three parrots quaker, two Alexandrian Parrot, four cockatiels, a mess of birds of love, parakeets and finches.View!Exhausting just think ello.Son all birds free mobile (free within the limits of my garage in dos-coche... I mean aviario) .we happy routine and non-it would be to have none other forma.Son simply amazing animals domésticos.Tengo three dogs, a rabbit, a turtle, and some fish, but there would be nothing for all my feathered friends.
